Welcome to the Chengdu International School website,

 If you are browsing our website looking for an excellent international school education for your child, you have come to the right place. CDIS is the oldest international school in Chengdu and the only li censed and fully accredited international school in Sichuan province. We are also fully staffed with qualified teachers who love their students and are passionate about what they teach. 

 This year we celebrate our 15^th Year in Chengdu. Over the years CDIS has grown from a handful of American expatriate students to a fully functional pre-K through 12^th grade school with students from all over the world. This year also marks the introduction of our pilot bilingual pre-K program. This program is based on the most current research about the way children learn and acquire language. For expatriates who would like to give their children the advantage of learning not only English, but also Chinese, while they are young and are easily able to absorb language, this program is unbeatable.  

 As you browse our website you will find that CDIS belongs to a consortium of schools called International Schools of China, ISC. This allows us to build a solid curriculum, and have access to technical and professional development support. ISC also provides our students with a rich network of competitive sports opportunities and fine arts activities that are often unavailable to them when studying overseas and are an essential part of preparation for life. 

 At CDIS we understand international education and we know what your child needs to know when they return to their home country. We also understand their needs as they navigate a new school and a new country. Living cross culturally is never easy, but it is an amazing opportunity for your child. Not only does CDIS help new students ‘find their way’, our active parent organization also provides a great support for new families.
